Areas we cover in Tower Hamlets

Postcode areas: E1, E2, E3, E14.

  • Canary Wharf

E14 high-rise towers where the Jubilee line, DLR and Elizabeth line all stop. These are glass-and-steel new-build flats, so the check-out turns on limescale across chrome, glass and the shower screen, plus integrated ovens; we book concierge access and a loading bay in advance.

  • Isle of Dogs

An E14 peninsula of glassy new-build towers served by the DLR. Hand-backs here ride on the modern details: limescale on taps and balcony glazing, an integrated oven, and floor-to-ceiling windows, so we arrange the lift booking and concierge clearance before the team arrives.

  • Bethnal Green

E2 Victorian terraces and post-war estates, with the Central and Elizabeth lines close by. The two stock types pull the clean in different directions, period skirtings and timber floors in the terraces, carpet wear and communal stairs in the estate flats, so we scope each one separately.

  • Bow

E3 Victorian terraces and the Bromley-by-Bow estates inland from the towers. Estate flats hand back on carpet wear and the shared stairwell, while the terrace conversions add original floors and sash windows; either way a move-out clean here covers the full room list.

  • Whitechapel

E1 around the Elizabeth line and the District and Hammersmith & City interchange, a dense mix of estate blocks and converted terraces let to sharers. Check-outs often run HMO-style, several bedrooms against one inventory, with the communal kitchen and bathroom carrying most of the report.

  • Poplar

E14 large social-housing estates on the DLR. The stock is mostly older council flats, so the inventory leans on carpet wear, scuffed paintwork and the communal stairs, and we plan parking and lift timing around blocks where access is shared between many homes.

  • Mile End

E1 and E3 by the Central line, Mile End Park and Queen Mary University. Student and sharer lets dominate, so a check-out usually means several bedrooms plus a shared kitchen and bathroom on one report, with the oven and limescale where the deposit tends to go.

  • Wapping

E1 riverside warehouse conversions with exposed brick and high ceilings. The tall windows and beams mean plenty of high-level dusting and glass on a move-out clean, and the listed shells often allow only one service lift, so we time access through the wharf entrances carefully.

  • Limehouse

E14 warehouse conversions and Victorian terraces, with the DLR and c2c rail. The converted wharves bring high ceilings and big windows that take time to detail, while the terraces add period floors and skirtings; parking is tight, so we sort a bay before the van arrives.

  • Stepney

E1 Victorian terraces and council estates between Whitechapel and Limehouse. The estate flats turn the inventory toward carpet wear and shared stairwells, while the terrace conversions bring original timber floors and tall skirtings, so we set the time for each property on its stock.

End of tenancy cleaning in Tower Hamlets from £156, from Canary Wharf towers to East End terraces, with a free re-clean within 48 hours if the check-out flags our work.

Two very different cleans in one borough

Tower Hamlets is really two checkout jobs. In the Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs towers around E14, the deposit nearly always turns on water marks: limescale and spotting on the glass shower screens, the chrome and the glass balustrades, plus the insides of the integrated appliances. East London water is hard, so that is the recurring deduction in the new-builds.

Go inland to Bethnal Green, Bow and Limehouse and it flips. The Victorian terraces and the older estates, Tower Hamlets has one of the highest shares of social housing in London, are oven grease, tired carpet and neglected sash windows. The warehouse conversions around Wapping and West India Quay add their own problem: double-height ceilings and exposed brick where the dust sits high.

  • Limescale and water spotting on glass screens, chrome and balconies in the E14 towers
  • Integrated appliance interiors in the new-builds
  • Oven grease and grout in the older Bethnal Green and Bow kitchens
  • High-level dust on beams and brick in the warehouse lofts
  • Carpets in long lets and shared houses, where the inventory logged them clean

What it costs in Tower Hamlets

A studio starts at £156, a one-bed at £207, a two-bed at £243, a three-bed at £339 and a four-bed at £425 for a standard end of tenancy clean. Carpets are the usual add-on.

Local end of tenancy quotes here run from about £120 for a studio to around £330 for a three-bed house. Our price is fixed per size, quoted from your postcode rather than guessed on the day. One thing worth flagging: a warehouse loft costs more to do than a flat of the same bedroom count, because the double-height glass and the high-level dust take longer.

We fix the price before you book.

Send the postcode, bedrooms and bathrooms, and we come back with a fixed figure rather than a range.

Parking, car-free blocks and access

Most of Tower Hamlets is a controlled parking zone, and visitor parking is virtual now, no paper scratchcards. A visitor is covered by an e-voucher activated online against the vehicle’s registration, so a warden checks it digitally and there is nothing to put in the windscreen.

The catch is the new-builds. A lot of the Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs developments are car-free, so residents there generally can’t hold a resident permit (though visitor vouchers are still allowed), and for those jobs the team comes in on the DLR or the Jubilee line and works from the lift. Tell us the building when you book and we sort access around it. The whole borough is inside the ULEZ.

We clean to the check-out report

The Canary Wharf lettings desks, Savills and Benham & Reeves around Admirals Way, and the independents like Jeffrey Smith & Co on Globe Road in Bethnal Green mostly check out against an itemised report. So that is what we clean to: the glass and limescale in the towers, the oven and carpets inland, line by line, instead of a blanket deep clean.

Send the check-in inventory or the check-out report with your details and we work to it. It is the quickest way to protect the deposit.

FAQ

Do you cover all of Tower Hamlets?

Yes, across E1, E2, E3 and E14, from Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs to Whitechapel, Bethnal Green, Bow, Mile End, Poplar and Wapping. Send your postcode to confirm the earliest slot.

My building is car-free, how do you park?

Plenty of the Canary Wharf and Isle of Dogs new-builds are car-free, so residents there generally can’t hold a resident permit, though visitor vouchers are still available. For those jobs the team comes by DLR or Jubilee line and works from the lift. Elsewhere in the borough we use an online visitor e-voucher or pay-and-display.

Do new-build towers and old terraces cost the same?

Same from-price by bedroom count, but a warehouse loft or a glass-heavy tower flat can take longer than a plain flat of the same size, so it may sit a little higher. We tell you before booking, not on the day.

Is carpet cleaning included?

Carpets are vacuumed as standard. A deep carpet clean is an add-on, worth it when your check-in inventory recorded the carpets as cleaned, which is common in the older terraces and shared houses. We’ll say if your report doesn’t call for it.
