Free checklists, a deposit email template and the guides behind them. No sign-up and no email address, from End of Tenancy LTD.
London + nearby counties • Manchester • Liverpool
Everything here is free and none of it asks for your email address. It is the paperwork half of moving out: what to clean, what to photograph, what to put in writing to your landlord, and what the words on a check-out report actually mean.
Most of it exists because the same questions arrive by phone every week. What does the clerk actually check. How do I prove I cleaned it. Can they charge me for a professional clean when I have already done the job myself.
Move-out cleaning checklist (PDF)
Four A4 pages and sixty tick boxes, laid out the way you would actually work through a property. For anyone who wants paper in their hand on the day rather than a phone on four per cent battery. File it with your photographs afterwards as a record of what you did.
Interactive move-out checklist
The same job on screen: thirty-three items across five rooms, ticks saved to the device so you can stop halfway and come back tomorrow. Better than the PDF if you are cleaning over several evenings. The page also sets out how a check-out inspection is run and which items cause most of the deductions.
Deposit email template
For the moment after checkout when a deduction lands and you have to reply in writing. A short generator fills in your address, the dates and your evidence list, and there is a plain text version to download and edit. Written to read calm and factual, which is the version that gets taken seriously.
Deposit and checkout help
Four guides on the deposit side of a move: what a landlord can fairly charge for cleaning, what to photograph before you hand the keys back, the timeline from a week out to moving day, and what agents look for at check-out. Sourced to the deposit schemes rather than to opinion.
End of tenancy glossary
Twenty-five plain-English definitions: check-in inventory, betterment, dilapidations, fair wear and tear, void clean, adjudication. Open it when a check-out report or a deduction letter arrives and half of it reads like somebody else’s trade language.
What end of tenancy cleaning costs
The money side in public: from £156 for a studio to £425 for a four-bed, what pushes a quote up, who normally pays, and an honest comparison with doing it yourself. Read it if you are deciding between booking a clean and spending the weekend on one.
