Does end of tenancy cleaning include carpets and oven cleaning?
Carpets are vacuumed as part of every clean, with a deep carpet clean available as an add-on, and the oven is the most popular add-on of all. The base clean covers the property itself, while the deep carpet treatment and a full inside-oven degrease are priced on top. What you actually need comes down to your check-in inventory.
What every clean covers
A standard end of tenancy clean covers the whole property: kitchen surfaces, cupboards and sink, the bathrooms, every room dusted down to skirting boards and switches, floors vacuumed and hard floors mopped, and the reachable internal glass. You can see the full scope on the what is included page.
Carpets: vacuumed as standard, deep-cleaned as an add-on
Every clean vacuums the carpets. A deep carpet clean, from £36 per room, is the add-on that lifts ground-in dirt, traffic lanes and marks. Add it when your inventory recorded the carpets as professionally cleaned, or when they have taken a year of footfall, because that is what a clerk will compare against.
The oven: the most common add-on
Oven cleaning, from £77, covers the cavity, racks, trays and the door glass. Almost every inventory shows a clean oven at the start, so it is the add-on most tenants need. A baked-on oven is one of the quickest ways to lose part of a deposit, and a slow, unpleasant job to do well by hand.
Other add-ons to consider
Depending on your inventory you might also add window cleaning from £35, upholstery cleaning, or the inside of the fridge and freezer. The rule is the same each time: match what was done at check-in.
How to decide what to add
Your check-out is judged against your check-in, so the inventory is your shopping list. Work through the check-out checklist to spot what will be examined, then add the matching extras. You can build the whole clean, base plus add-ons, into one figure with an instant quote, and our price guide explains what moves the total.
Quick answers
Is the oven included? It is the most common add-on rather than part of the base clean, so add it to match your inventory.
Are carpets included? They are vacuumed as standard; a deep carpet clean is a separate add-on.
Can I add just the oven? Yes. You choose the add-ons you need, and only pay for those.
This is general guidance. Your final scope and quote depend on your inventory, the property and its condition.
